Details

Yeast infections are caused by an overgrowth of a type of yeast known as Malassezia pachydermatis, which is a normal organism found on the skin and inside the ears of dogs. However, an imbalance in the amount of yeast can lead to a variety of unpleasant symptoms for your pet, including:


  • chronic itching
  • greasy skin
  • hair loss
  • skin sores
  • darkened thickened skin
  • yellow foul-smelling discharge
  • sour/yeast/corn chip odour to the skin and ears.


The itching can be a constant discomfort for your pet, particularly in areas where there is increased heat and creases in the skin, such as between the paw pads and ears, as well as the belly and under the arm pits.


There may be contributing factors to a yeast infection, including prolonged use of medications like steroids or immune suppressant drugs, as well as other diseases like Cushing's disease, cancer, and hypothyroidism.


The skin is the slowest healing organ in the body, and it takes time to eradicate the yeast and increase immunity so that yeast infections cannot proliferate. It's important to resolve food allergies/intolerances, which are almost always contributing factors to skin conditions like yeast infections. Consider food allergy/environmental testing to eliminate allergens from your dog's diet and environment that are contributing to the yeast infection cycle.

Actually works!

Love this product, have bought multiple times and will continue. Soon as I notice my boys (frenchie and chihuahua) have runny eyes, itchy skin or chewing on paws I'll do a course of this with the gut restore and problem solved. Highly recommend. The only products that worked

I purchased the yeast support kit from Erin and was desperate for something that might work. I had spent thousands of dollars trying all the products that promised to cure yeast but never quite fixed it. So I wasn't really holding out much hope for this to be effective either- but I was so surprised. I found the Gut Restore to be such a help and it made so much sense to treat from the inside out. Signs of improving

Angel has suffered from ear soreness due to skinny ear canals and her ears not drying out (as per our vet) so with nothing to loose, have been trying the yeast support. Is the Yeast Support Safe For My Dog Or Cat, Even If They Are On Pharmaceutical Medications?
Yes! Safety is of the upmost importance to us at Natural Pet Supplements. The herbs chosen are specifically chosen because of safety and effectiveness in animals.

The only time you cannot use Yeast Support on your Dog or Cat is when there is diarrhoea present. The herbs selected in the Yeast Support do not interact with any pharmaceutical drugs, but caution is advised if using immune supressant medications or if animal is diabetic.

Do not exceed recommended dosage for weight, unless advised. For best practice all herbal formulas should be discontinued 2 weeks prior to surgery. If you have any queries about safety, drug/herb interactions, please contact us and we will back to you ASAP.
How long until I see results with the Yeast Support?
That depends, There are many factors that influence how quickly you will see results. Such as severity of condition, immune status, diet, stress levels, age, breed etc.

The Yeast Support is a pungent formula and you need to use it for 3 weeks, then break for a week (this will help the body not get overloaded with trying to eliminate the yeast die off). If it is not resolved by the end of the four week cycle, start the cycle again and continue until results are seen.

With conditions affecting the skin it could take up to 3 months to see visible results (at the most) as the skin is the slowest healing organ in the body. It is very common especially with infections involving the ears and skin, for it to take a couple of months to fully heal.

As herbal medicine is aimed at fixing the root cause of the illness instead of just negating symptoms, it is not instant. Patience is key, but if you aren't seeing results after 12 weeks, please contact us and we can reformulate the medicine to suit your pets individual needs, or you may have to increase the dosage.

What If My Dog Or Cat Doesn't Like The Taste?
Our herbal formulas are flavoured with a smoky bacon taste, and 98% of herbs are in a glycerine base, but the pungency of some herbs may still be present. 

Mixed into food is the easiest way for most pets, if not you can squeeze into the side of their mouth or mix into a treat like peanut butter, ricotta cheese etc.

Persistence is the key, you can always try to work up to the recommended dosage over a week or so.
How long will my order take to get delivered?
We use Australia Post. Packages sent in Mainland Australia are all sent Express Post. It could take from 2-8 working days. 

We ship worldwide and use an express service for this. It can take from 5-20 working days, depending on what part of the world you are in. We cannot send treats in international orders unfortunately because of customs rules. 

For further information please refer to our shipping policy in the footer menu. If you want your package left at your house, please put in the notes, so the postie can leave it there.

IMPORTANT: Any customs or import duties are charged once the order reaches its destination country and must be paid by the recipient of the order.
