The immune system is not one single organ. It is an enormous network involving white blood cells, antibodies, lymph nodes, the spleen, bone marrow, skin, mucous membranes and the gastrointestinal tract.

Why Might a Pet’s Immune Resilience Become Reduced?
Sometimes there is one obvious reason. More commonly, several smaller factors combine.
- Recent illness or infection.
- Major surgery, injury or a prolonged recovery.
- Long-term stress or anxiety.
- Poor-quality or nutritionally incomplete food.
- Digestive problems or an imbalanced gut microbiome.
- Repeated or lengthy courses of antibiotics.
- Very young or advanced age.

Urinary tract infections
Immune Support should not replace antibiotics or veterinary testing for a urinary infection. Urinary symptoms may be caused by bacteria, bladder stones, crystals, inflammation, kidney disease or an obstruction.
A cat that is straining but producing little or no urine requires emergency veterinary attention, particularly if the cat is male.
Can Immune Support Be Used for Recovery From Surgery?
Good immune function, adequate nutrition and proper rest all play important roles in normal healing. Immune Support may be considered during the recovery period once your pet is stable, eating normally and your veterinarian has approved its use.
Do not administer Immune Support before anaesthesia. Stop it before a planned procedure and tell your veterinary team about every supplement, herb and medication your pet receives.
After surgery, the priorities are:
- Following your veterinarian’s wound-care instructions.
- Giving pain relief and antibiotics exactly as prescribed.
- Preventing licking, chewing or interference with the wound.
- Providing a quiet and comfortable recovery area.
- Offering appropriate food and maintaining hydration.
- Restricting activity for the recommended period.
- Attending all rechecks and suture-removal appointments.
Contact your veterinarian if the wound becomes hot, swollen, smelly, increasingly painful or begins producing discharge. Also seek help if your pet stops eating, repeatedly vomits, becomes extremely lethargic or appears to deteriorate.
Can Immune Support Be Used for Autoimmune Disease?
Autoimmune disease is not simply a weak immune system. It occurs when the immune system mistakenly reacts against the body’s own cells or tissues.
For this reason, an immune-supporting herbal formula should not automatically be given to a pet with an autoimmune condition. The suitability depends on the exact diagnosis, current disease activity and medication being used.
Immune Support carries a caution for use with immune-suppressing medication. This may include corticosteroids such as prednisolone and other medications prescribed to control an overactive or misdirected immune response.
If your dog or cat has immune-mediated haemolytic anaemia, immune-mediated thrombocytopenia, lupus, pemphigus, immune-mediated polyarthritis or another autoimmune diagnosis, speak with the treating veterinarian before using Immune Support.
The goal in these cases is careful immune balance—not simply stimulating immune activity. Never reduce or stop prescribed immune-suppressing medication without veterinary supervision.

The current Immune Support directions use a repeating four-days-on, three-days-off cycle. This is different from several other Natural Pet Supplements herbal products, so always follow the directions for this particular formula.
